无烟煤滤料用于生活给水及工业给水的过滤净化处理。使用时根据滤池的形式确定使用参数，一般双层滤科的铺装厚度为300—400mm；正常滤速10—14m/h，强制滤速14—1 8m/h；三层滤料铺装厚度450mm，正常滤速18—20m/h，强制滤速20～25m/h。滤池反洗采用水冲洗、水汽冲洗或辅以表面冲洗。
